Identity & idempotency

Workflow: AI hiring surge → enrich & rescore v1
Correlation id: b40a524d11e64576
Idempotency key: wf:ai-hiring-surge-enrichment:v1:signal.created:fb0eb4f2-c8a9-54ac-802a-586a795b863d
Run id: aba34d75-6406-4d1a-8885-b5d86ddb8297

The idempotency key is workflow : version : trigger type : event id and is unique in Postgres, so a re-delivered webhook or a double click cannot start a second run for the same event. The correlation id ties this run to the CRM syncs, drafts and audit events it produced.

Guarantees

Idempotent. One run per trigger event and workflow version.
Resumable. Retrying keeps succeeded steps and resumes at the failed one.
Retries with backoff. Transient errors retry per step up to max attempts with exponential backoff.
Dead letter. Exhausted retries park the run for a human instead of dropping it.
